• _Admin Groups: a webpage in order to manage the groups. Here you can see existing groups and add or delete groups. Only the system administrator can do this.__
• _Admin Users: a webpage in order to manage users and their settings. Here you can see existing users and add, modify or delete users. Only the system adminstrator and the group administrators can do this.__
• _Auditor: a user who can see images in another group as if he/she belongs to that other group. A group-admin can make outside users an auditor to his/her group. A better term might be 'voyeur'.__

• _Browse: open a file manager to find the files needed.__

• _Delete: throw away (an image, a user or a group)__

• _Private: if this this checkbox is checked the image can only be seen by the owner of this image.__
• _Public: if this this checkbox is checked the image can be seen by any other user.__
• _Profile: here you can change your personal settings like your name and password.__

• _Search: here a user can search for images of his own and images that are labeled public by other users.__
• _Sysadmin: system administrator: administrator to manage the complete system. The system adminstrator is someone who does the user and group management.__

• _Template: page with settings that are already defined by a user. Each template of a specific user must have a unique name, but an other user can have a template with the same name. Users can use templates if they have a lot images that have the same settings of the microscope.__
• _Thumbnail: a smaller version of an image.__

U

• _Upload: a way to archive images onto another pc (server).__
• _Userid: an unique number assigned to an user used to identify that user.__
• _Username: an unique name of a user to login provided by the system administrator.__
