Modify and Delete templates
Starting
This section explains how you can modify and delete your template. Click on the Profile on the menu on the left for modify and deleting your template.
Starting template administration
After you have clicked on the Profile button you will see the profile page. Here you can choose between changing your password or modify and delete your template.
Clicking on Administrate your templates you will see the templates already defined. Also you see the different options of what you can do with the template.
These options are respectively:
- Modify a template: Here you can modify the settings of this template. The field you see are:
- 'Templatename': the name of the template. You can fill in whatever you want.
- 'Position of the origin': fill in the position of the origin of the image.
- 'Samplingdistance': fill in the samplingdistance.
- 'Type sensor': fill in the type of the sensor. This has to be either text or numbers or other signs.
- 'Number of channels': fill in the number of channels that has been used.
- 'Dimensions of the sensor': fill in the dimensions of the sensor for each channel.
- 'Wavelength of the excitation': fill in wavelength of the excitation for each channel.
- 'Wavelength of the emission': fill in wavelength of the emission for each channel.
- 'Number of photons needed to excitate one colourmolecule': fill in number of photons needed to excitate one colourmolecule.
- 'Refractionindex of the medium': fill in refractionindex of the medium.
- 'Numerical aperture of the lense': fill in numerical aperture of the lense.
- 'Refraction index of the medium for which the lens is designed': fill in refractionindex of the medium for which the lens is designed.
All fields except 'Templatename' and 'Type sensor' have to be numbers.
It is not mandatory to fill in everything whenever you modify template. Only the name of the template has to be filled in. Each template has its own individual name, so there are no templates with the same name. Choose a name you haven't used before!
- Delete a template: Here you can delete an user. After confirming that you want to delete the user, you will get a message that the user has been removed.
Exercises
Exercise 1: modify your template
1. Click on Profile on the left menu.
Here you will see a full screen with two options:
- Change your passwd
- Administrate your templates
2. Click on Administrate your templates
Here you will see the templates already defined: Also you see the different options of what you can do with the template.

3. Click on Modify by the templatename test
Here you will see the fields already filled in. Those are the field you can modify:
- 'templatename': Test.
- 'Position of the origin': 1.
- 'Samplingdistance': 2.
- 'Type sensor': 3.
- 'Number of channels': 44.
- 'Dimensions of the sensor': 5.
- 'Wavelength of the excitation': 6.
- 'Wavelength of the emission': 7.
- 'Number of photons needed to excitate one colourmolecule': 8.
- 'Refractionindex of the medium': 9.
- 'Numerical aperture of the lense': 10.
- 'Refractionindex of the medium for which the lens is designed': 11.
4. Fill in for templatename:start
5. Click on the modify template-button
The message "Your template has been modified" will appear.
Exercise 2: delete your template
1. Click on Profile on the left menu.
Here you will see a full screen with two options:

2. Click on Administrate your templates

3. Click on Delete by the templatename start
The message "Are you sure you want to delete this template" will be shown.
4. Click on yes
The message "Template start has been deleted!" will appear.
