DNS Server outage
The DNS servers for our Website and Huygens Everywhere servers are currently being flooded by network requests (DDOS attack). Our website and Huygens Everywhere services are still online, but the name cannot be tied to the IP addresses of our Huygens servers.
Here we provide several workarounds for the use of Huygens Everywhere during this DNS outage:
Connect to Huygens Everywhere via IP address directly.
You can connect directly to our Huygens Everywhere servers by starting huygenspro.exe/essential.exe/huygensloc.exe with an extra argument before starting the software.
Windows:
1) Navigate to the installation folder of the Huygens Software (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\SVI\)2) Right click huygenspro.exe/essential.exe/huygensloc.exe and select "Send To", and then "Desktop (Create Shortcut)"
3) Right click the desktop icon and select Properties.
4) In the entry field beneath "Target:", there is the file path of Huygens Software, after the quotes add "-licenseServer 185.27.175.88"

By default it will try to connect through port 80. If you need to connect to Huygens Everywhere via port 9118 instead of port 80 due to firewall rules, then you can also try adding "-huEverywherePort 9118".

Linux/MacOS:
1) Open a terminal2) Start huygenspro/huygensloc/essential with an extra command-line flag "-licenseServer 185.87.184.180"

Username@Machine-name:~ $ huygenspro -licenseServer 185.87.184.180
By default it will try to connect through port 80. If you need to connect to Huygens Everywhere via port 9118 instead of port 80 due to firewall rules, then you can also try adding "-huEverywherePort 9118".

There are currently three license servers. If one of them does not work for you or the delay in connection is too big, then you could try another one.
