Visiting SVI

The SVI office is a 5 minutes walk from railway station "Hilversum Sportpark", which has a direct connection to Schiphol Airport and Utrecht Central station. Getting from the Schiphol airport to our office by train

There are direct train connections from Schiphol to Hilversum Sportpark (not Hilversum!) twice per hour. Alternative ways changing in Hilversum (main station), Weesp or Utrecht Centraal are also possible. Check https://www.ns.nl/en for actual schedules.The trip will take approximately 45 minutes.

Remember to buy your ticket beforehand! You can buy a separate ticket (not a "chip card") at the yellow/blue machines located at the centre of the airport, right above the underground train station. Some of them accept coins (euros) and major credit cards, apart from Dutch debit cards. A single second class ticket from Schiphol to Hilversum-Sportpark is about EUR 7.40. Alternatively, and maybe even more easy is that you buy an e-ticket via this website.

From Utrecht Central station you have a direct train connection to Hilversum Sportpark. This will take you approximately 15 minutes. A single second class ticket costs about EUR 3.90.

Getting to our office on foot from the railway station

From the Hilversum Sportpark railway station to SVI is a 5 minutes walk. See the map above for the details. Here is an explanation of the walk.

From Amsterdam/Schiphol: (solid line on map)

Continue walking the platform in the same direction as the train. At the end, exit the platform and go left at the footpath parallel to the platform. Keep left and walk straight on. You can keep on walking with the railway track on your left and the school buildings at your right, until you see a straight asphalt path at your right. Enter this road and walk until you are in the curve (see pictures shown at the top of this page).
Alternatively, if you walked through the park or are coming from one of the hotels, you can follow the road "Laapersveld" with a pedestrian side-walk. Keep the schools at your left-hand side. After the road makes a slow left turn, go left entering the entrance of the building where SVI is located. This building is greyish with dark red window frames. The entrance is shown on the picture on top of this page. We are on the second floor.

From Utrecht: (solid line on map)

Exit the platform in the opposite direction as the train and cross the railroad. Enter the other train platform (for trains coming from the other direction). At the end, exit the platform and go left at the footpath parallel to the platform. Keep left and walk straight on. You can keep on walking with the railway track on your left and the school buildings at your right, until you see an straight asphalt path at your right. Enter this road and walk until you are in the curve (see pictures shown at the top of this page).

Getting to our office by car

Arriving from the direction Amsterdam. Take highway A10 or A1 direction Amersfoort, from there to direction Utrecht, A27. Exit Hilversum (33).
Arriving from the direction Utrecht. Take highway 27, direction Almere. Exit Hilversum (33).
At the end of exit 33, go left at the traffic lights (to Diependaalselaan). After that, move to the right lane, pass through a short tunnel underneath the railroad, and at the roundabout go right (to Utrechtseweg). At the next roundabout, go right again, and after 10 meters again to the right, just before the one-way section of the street starts. Bicycles have the right of way on both roundabouts!!! The building in which SVI is located is on the left where the street you're driving down curves to the left.
After the curve there are a few parking lots marked SVI that you can use. One is in front of the building, roughly where the black car in the picture above is parked, and two are at the South side of the building, in the picture to the right.
